Origin:Wuyi Mountain - Wu San Di

Year: 2024

Characteristics: Plum fruit flavor, aged wood aroma, licorice sweetness, aroma of cooked soybean powder

Tasting Notes:

Among Wuyi rock teas, there are four very famous teas, namely White Cockscomb, Tie Luo Han (Iron Arhat), Ban Tian Yao (Half-day Demon), and Shui Jin Gui (Water Turtle). These four kinds of teas respectively represent different aromas and flavors of Wuyi rock teas, with distinct varietal characteristics.

This tea is called Tie Luo Han, and I think it's a really interesting tea.

When I first tasted it, I felt a slight acidity. (Slight acidity is a relatively common taste in Wuyi rock teas. Apart from the acidity caused by defects in the production process, the slight fruity acidity is actually a unique acidity in Wuyi rock teas, also known as "Wuyi acid". As long as this acidity doesn't make you uncomfortable, it's okay, and sometimes even sought-after.)

When brewing the second cup, this acidity disappeared and turned into a plum-like fruity aroma, and then gradually became a unique traditional Chinese medicine aroma similar to the smell of aged wood. Along with the woody aroma there is a faint sweetness and refreshing taste.

In the later stage, its taste becomes more sweet, mixed with the cereal aroma of cooked soybean powder. It's a very unique and famous tea from Wuyishan; definitely one you must try.
