Tasting Notes
This black tea hails from Jiangdun Village, the core production area of Tongmu Pass—hometown of the world’s black tea—in the Wuyi Mountains.
The tea trees grow at an average altitude of over 800 meters, nestled in dense forests with zero human intervention, thriving in their natural state. The high altitude paired with Tongmu Pass’s pristine ecological environment endows this tea with an exquisite, intense wild forest aura.
The dry leaves exude a distinct lychee fragrance; upon brewing, a rich woody note unfolds gradually, followed by a fresh bamboo leaf aroma that lingers from the third infusion onwards.
The liquor glows with a warm amber hue and boasts a silky texture. A burst of natural sweetness hits the taste buds at the first sip, just like sipping fresh mountain spring water. The second and third infusions deliver a mellow, full-bodied mouthfeel with a lush floral fragrance that permeates the palate. What’s more, this tea retains its rich flavor and aroma even after 10 consecutive infusions!
