Product description

NAME: INFINITY(无极)

This piece is adapted from one of the master’s works inspired by Dunhuang murals

Its overall color palette embraces bold black tones, with several irregular gilded Buddha carvings adorning the sides of the porcelain; the infusion of gold endows the entire piece with an air of profound mystique.

The black-and-white motif on the lid takes inspiration from the Yin-Yang symbol of Taoism, yet a closer look at the details reveals flowing landscapes reminiscent of traditional Chinese ink wash paintings.

Instead of being a stiff square, the saucer features curves and lines that embody the harmony of hardness and softness found in Chinese calligraphy.

Why is it named Wuji (Boundlessness)?

The Chinese believe that infinite possibilities lie within chaos, much like how these seemingly disparate elements are seamlessly fused into this gaiwan set.
